Salman Khan, Aamir Khan wont be a part of Andaz Apna Apna sequel
Here’s some news for Andaz Apna Apna fans: Salman Khan and Aamir Khan won't be a vicinity of the sequel. The director's explanation is their ‘loss of innocence’.
Fans of the cult comedy film, Andaz Apna Apna, will ne'er have enough of the film that brought Salman Khan and Aamir Khan along for amusing riot. So, every little bit of info concerning the sequel to the 1994 film is lapped up with plenty of pleasure.
To an interview with DNA, director Rajkumar Santoshi confirmed that a sequel is already in pipeline. However, he confirmed one thing that's seemingly to interrupt the hearts of all Andaz Apna Apna fans - he aforementioned Aamir and Salman won't play their roles. Explaining his call, the producer said, “For humour, you would like innocence. That time, these actors had the innocence. Now, it'll look forced. it's cute if a twenty year previous is chasing a woman. A 45-50 year old man chasing young women will appear vulgar.”
Asked if he has finalised actors for the sequel, Santoshi said, “There is Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan... They are all promising actors and they have the knack for comedy. I will pick up good talent for the film.”
The original film, featured Salman, Aamir, Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Shakti Kapoor and Mehmood, proved to be a box office dud. It was only later that it became popular with the audience and has now become a cult movie among Hindi film lovers.
