Indu Sarkar cleared by CBFC revising committee relieved Bhandarkar
Producer Madhur Bhandarkar says he is cheerful and mitigated
as his film "Indu Sarkar" has been cleared by the Central Board of
Film Certification (CBFC) revising council.
Bhandarkar on Monday took to Twitter, where he said that the
film was cleared with a couple of cuts.
The film, set against the background of the 1975-77
Emergency, highlights Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kirti and Kulhari Tota Roy Chaudhary.
It likewise stars Supriya Vinod, Anupam Kher and has characters propelled by
the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and her child Sanjay Gandhi.
The CBFC had recommended 12 cuts and two disclaimers,
including expulsion of words like RSS and Akali from "Indu Sarkar".
